Frequently asked questions
Accounts, access, and your work.
The workshop mixes public tools, account features, and a temporary introductory preview. These answers explain the boundaries.
Can I use the tools without an account?
Yes. Some tools are open to everyone and others offer starter exercises without signing in. A Free account opens the core account features and broader practice choices listed on the plan comparison.
What is the introductory Pro preview?
Completed Free and Pro account choices currently receive temporary Pro preview access at no charge. Choosing Pro during signup records a preference; it does not create a purchase. There is no announced end date, no card is required, and no paid subscription starts automatically.
What happens when the preview ends?
You will not be charged automatically. Free remains a separate access level. Any future paid upgrade would require you to choose it. Features marked Pro may become unavailable without Pro access, while your complete saved choices should remain retained for later use where the tool supports saved preferences.
Is private LiveFrets included with Pro?
No. LiveFrets Display is a public workshop tool and is fully included with Free. The separate private LiveFrets package has its own entitlement. A shared example or a public display link does not grant private authoring or generation access.
Is the Barry Harris Method book included?
No. The book is separate from the current public workshop offer.
Where is my work saved?
Saving varies by tool. Many settings and authored items are stored in the current browser. Do not assume that all work syncs to your account or appears on another device. Clearing site data or using a different browser can remove access to browser-only work. A tool guide will say when a feature uses account-backed storage.
What does a shared link restore?
A valid setup link restores the specific supported example and settings encoded by that tool. It does not grant account permissions. Opening or editing a shared session should not overwrite your personal saved preferences, and shared examples do not start playback automatically.
Why do my controls look different from a guide?
Available controls can depend on the tool, your access, the current instrument view, and the selected musical resource. Experimental tools can also change. If the difference blocks you, send a help request and name the tool.
What information does a support report include?
You choose the text, reply email, and example link to send. Optional diagnostics are shown before submission and contain only a version label, route path, and broad browser and device information. The form does not attach URL queries or hashes, browser storage, console logs, MIDI data, or account tokens.
How do I ask for access to or deletion of my information?
Use the support form or email support@barelyharris.com. Read the privacy notice for the data used to operate accounts and support.
