No. Barry Universe, Ear Training, and Chart Maker are open without an account. Other practice tools offer starter exercises without signing in. Join Free for more keys and core features, or use the introductory Pro preview for deeper authoring.
Basics, Beautiful, Barry and Bird modes in all keys, with the core progression collection. You can select and require ingredients from the included ABCs, ABC Combos, Barry, Bird and supporting diminished packs where the mode supports them. Other modes and resources, bar editing and deeper phrase settings require Pro.
Free Ingredients practice uses one ingredient at a time in major or dominant, in any key. Pro adds ingredient chains, more scales and resources, and ingredient and rhythm options. Free Scales of Chords includes major/minor 6 diminished in all keys with thirds, triads, High Shell and Drop 2. Pro adds other scales and voicings, including Drop 3, plus borrowing, advanced movement and practice settings, and MIDI control.
Voicing Trainer, Borrowing Trainer and Interval Trainer offer starter Drop 2 exercises without an account. Free adds thirds, triads and High Shell; Pro adds other scale and voicing choices and deeper exercise settings. The separate Contrary Motion Trainer is fully included with Free, including its MIDI control. Contrary-motion features inside Scales of Chords require Pro.
Free lets you transpose the supplied Major Blues and Blue Bossa outlines, use Harmony Explorer’s default study, and track and sort your repertoire in JazzRep. Pro opens the rest of the Scale Outlines library and its editor, Harmony Explorer’s other studies and authoring tools, and adding personal tunes and YouTube links in JazzRep. Existing personal JazzRep content remains available on Free.
